CASALBERNA

Casalberna is a mid 1700’s Italian country farmhouse located in the thermal town of San Casciano dei Bagni and nestled in the famous Val d’Orcia in southern Tuscany.  Where once families and animals resided there is now a comfortable restored large family main house and two guest houses with a total of eight bedrooms.  Recently renovated by the local architect Laura Terziani and Daniela, the property’s original features were respected and complimented with materials and fixtures sourced or made locally by artisans.  Vaulted ceilings lined with terracotta tiles, exposed wooden beams, fortified internal walls rendered and painted with the local mineral paint all feature along with large log fires, a typical internal kitchen BBQ and the addition of a stone BBQ outside.  A wellness area was also added including a gym and sauna.  The surrounding gardens were landscaped including a guest friendly kitchen garden laden with fruit and vegetables in season.
